Blood/DNA Donation

Blood/DNA Donation

Researchers are looking for Blood/DNA from HD patients and family members.

Making a donation of your blood, and clinical information, to the Biobank gives researchers the ability to study the genetic and biochemical factors of HD. This knowledge may contribute to improvements in the diagnosis and treatment of HD.

Blood/DNA Donation Overview

If you are an HD patient or family member and are interested in donating blood/DNA, please review and sign the “DNA Banking and Clinical Data Collection Consent” form.

If a family member is interested in donating blood/DNA, but unable to legally give consent, they can still participate. Their guardian or next-of-kin can help the participant review the “DNA Banking Assent Form”, (by reading or listening), ask questions and decide for themselves before signing the consent on his/her behalf.
