Blood/Saliva Donation

Donation Overview

Blood/Saliva Donation

Researchers are looking for Blood from Canadians both with or without a family history of neurodegeneration.

Making a donation of your blood or saliva, and clinical information, to the Biobank gives researchers the ability to study the genetic and biochemical factors of brain disorders. This knowledge may contribute to improvements in the diagnosis and treatment of brain disorders.

If you are a Canadian and are interested in donating blood, please review and sign the “DNA Banking and Clinical Data Collection Consent” form.

If you are a Canadian and are interested in donating saliva, please review and sign the “Saliva banking consent” form.

If a family member is interested in donating blood/DNA, but unable to legally give consent, they can still participate. Their guardian or next-of-kin can help the participant review the “DNA Banking Assent Form”, (by reading or listening), ask questions and decide for themselves before signing the consent on his/her behalf.
